The Round Bush is run by Gary Hoy and offers a warm family friendly atmosphere with its cosy open fire in lovely surroundings. Step aboard our winter tearoom on board a vintage sailing barge on Maldon's Hythe Quay for a memorable tearoom experience and help support our maritime heritage.
Taking advantage of its elevated location on the Blackwater Estuary, it has simply the most beautiful view in Essex. Here at Suzie's Gift and Tea Shop we make all of our delicious food on the premises, priding ourselves on delivering fresh and tasty meals, cakes, drinks and treats.
Our cakes are all freshly home made. They include chocolate, lemon, lemon and poppyseed, carrot, victoria, coffee and walnut, pecan and maple, bakewell tart, scones and a selection of home made cupcakes.
Parlour Cafe might be slightly off the beaten track, but with great coffee, tea, milkshakes, freshly made lemonades and a bar this is the place to be! Also gave us a free glass of prosecco as it was anniversary. Nice touch. Will be back soon!! Lovely place, we loved the pods, very warm and comfy.
There were 3 small tables in our pod and one big table in the other pod - there's plenty if room and everyone seems to enjoy the pod atmosphere, so it's actually fun to share a pod. We had beautiful pizzas, delicious bottle of red with sweets and liquers. We can't find any faults and look forward to returning soon. Four of us had lunch and the staff were very attentive and sociable. The food choice was good and the quality was second to none. A nice touch was the chef coming to the table to ask if the meal was OK and to tell us of upcoming events at the restaurant.
We had a great time and the food and service was excellent. My only complaint is about the service charge. For 6 or more people I agree with it.
But not for 2. A wonderful meal in a fantastic venue. Every dish was delicious. Brilliant authentic Brazilian cuisine!!! Just moved into the area so first time visiting the New Pavilion Relaxing surroundings with very attentive customer service, great food and drink - competitively priced I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
