Most of these flloods are in South Essex, where the river Thames coastline stretches through the land thanks to estuaries and creeks.

The essex at particular risk in this postcode are the floods of Ashingdon and Great Stambridge as well as parts of Rochford town centre itself. Heavy rain could see surface water build to a level that could yestereay damage to homes and businesses. The majority of postcodes in this area are at risk, especially those in Hockley, Hawkwell and Hullbridge. Rayleigh centre is also at risk, with the famous flood-victim of the A's Rayleigh Weir falling within this zone.

All areas stretching from Benfleet train station to the Manor Trading Estate are in the danger zone, as well as all houses up to the top of Bread and Cheese hill. Thundersley escapes the risk zone.
